How to Get Help

Follow these steps if your Chromebook needs service or repair.

Most repairs are completed within 1–3 school days.

  1. If your Chromebook breaks before Mod 1, use the in classroom loaner until Mod 1. Then bring your device to 📍 Room 231 at the beginning of Mod 1.
  2. If your Chromebook breaks after Mod 1, bring it to the RBR District IT Department, where you can receive a loaner Chromebook. If you do not need a device during class or at home, you may instead bring it to 📍 Room 231 during Mod 1.
  3. You will receive an email notification when your Chromebook repair is complete. Please pick up your device and return any loaner during Mod 1 in 📍 Room 231.

Troubleshooting

Won’t Turn On

  1. Plug in the charger.
  2. Hold the power button.
  3. Charge for one hour.
  4. Perform a hard reboot: Hold Refresh + Power.
  5. If it still does not turn on, bring it to Room 231.

Only Works Plugged In

  1. Leave the Chromebook plugged in for one hour.
  2. Check to see if the battery percentage increases.
  3. If not, the battery may need service. Bring it to Room 231.

Flashing Yellow Light

  1. Leave the Chromebook charging overnight.
  2. If the light continues to flash, bring it to Room 231.

Safety & Care Reminders

Chromebooks are fragile. Treat them better than you would treat your own computer.

Screens crack easily, so always protect your device inside your bag.

Always keep the case on to protect the device.
